At the turn of the century, the Golden Square Mile was a wealthy neighbourhood graced by some of Montréal's most notable mansions. At that time, the 25,000 people living in the Square Mile, so named because it measures one square mile, owned 70% of Canada's wealth. On this interesting walking tour, your guide will show you the Mount Royal Club, the Alcan Building, the McGill Campus and you will visit the Mount Stephen Club, all witnesses of that era.
